Product Marketing Manager

Department: Product Marketing – Healthcare Provider Solutions
FLSA Classification:  FT, Exempt
Reports to: VP, Product Marketing

Role Profile:
The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning and launch of new healthcare business intelligence solutions in the provider (hospital) market. In this entrepreneurial role this individual will create and execute the business plans for new solution initiatives including: market research, competitive analysis, solution definition, pricing, sales collateral, sales training, and marketing launch campaigns. As the “owner” of a new MedeAnalytics solution(s) the Product Marketing Manager is ultimately responsible for driving early product revenues by leading the sales and marketing team to a successful solution launch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify market opportunities for the MedeAnalytics healthcare provider solution suite. Conduct industry analysis, competitive research, customer analysis, and focus group research.
  • Develop market requirements documents (MRD) and execute strategic marketing plans for new solution initiatives. Requires product, marketing, sales, and financial perspective.
  • Create and manage the content for all solution-centric sales and marketing materials including sales presentations, product sheets, case studies, product demos, proposals, etc.
  • Train and support direct and channel sales teams with industry knowledge, subject-matter expertise, solution messaging, ROI analysis, and support in sales meetings.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources across multiple departments including engineering, sales, marketing, and senior management.
  • Work closely with Product Management to define product platform capabilities and align platform releases with new solution development and launch.
  • Work with Business Development to identify and execute upon partnership opportunities that build out the MedeAnalytics solution suite.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Communications to provide solution content for marketing campaigns, sales training collateral and consulting engagements.
  • Work with Executive Management team to define solution development and growth strategy.

Essential Education, Experience and Interests:

  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • In addition to an undergraduate degree, the company seeks an MBA background and certification
  • The successful candidate will have experience with healthcare provider (hospital) operations, planning, clinical, or financial analysis and decision making.
  • Specific experience for the ideal candidate could include 3+ years of healthcare consulting with a Big 4 consulting firm, or a direct operating role in the strategic planning, finance, or operations area of a large health system.
  • The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of how a hospital CEO, CFO, COO, and CMO makes strategic decisions and measures hospital performance.
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging technology solutions to drive financial or operational improvement for hospitals. The ideal candidate should have experience with healthcare technology and data vendors. Direct experience on the vendor side would be a useful perspective for this role.
  • Success with customer-facing sales and marketing is desirable. This is a commercial role that requires an individual who can apply his/her healthcare expertise to create and sell revenue-generating software and consulting solutions. Natural sales skills, negotiation skills, and an entrepreneurial drive are critical for success in this position.

Solutions Strategist

Department: Provider Product Marketing

Role Profile:
This professional will be the primary subject matter expert for the field sales force. They are responsible for working in conjunction with the sales team as the healthcare revenue cycle expert and solution advocate for our solutions. The individual must be able to articulate industry knowledge and solution positioning to both business and executive users.  Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • MUST HAVE 4-5 years healthcare experience
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Able to assist with response to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
  • Able to travel throughout sales territory

Account Executive - Payer

Department: Account Executives - Payer Solutions

Role Profile:
This position will be responsible for managing the relationships with key clients, many of whom are leading healthcare payers. The Account Executive will be responsible for the long-term health of our relationship with the senior leadership (CxO-level), as measured by customer satisfaction, profitability and broad-adoption of our solutions within the organization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building, managing and expanding client engagements. This includes documenting and gaining achievement from client on tangible value being received by client. This also includes building and expanding senior-level (CxO-level) relationships with large, complex enterprise customers in healthcare payers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the relationship throughout the customer lifecycle from post sales-through-implementation, solution deployment, ongoing support and contract expansions.
  • Document, present and gain agreement on tangible value provided and quantifiable ROI to client.
  • Maximize adoption of the contracted solutions that Mede has provided. (ie users, data, training, etc.)
  • Provide recommendation to client on business issues that can be addressed by MedeAnalytics solutions.
  • Monitor and take action on customer satisfaction through periodic, qualitative and quantitative measurements.
  • Manage contracted business to specific ACV, Revenue and Profitability levels as forecasted.
  • Build deep understanding of the clients current economic environment and business challenges (ie filings, costs, strategic goals, financial targets)
  • Create and execute an annual Account Plan containing s specific client strategy, goals and metrics for the key business areas and how Mede solutions can solve these problem including:
    • Clinical (ie Disease Mgmt, Medical Mgmt, Case Mgmt, etc.)

  • Work closely with key business owners to understand, create and execute changes to the Mede solutions to achieve their goals.

Essential Skills, Experience and Education:

Critical subject matter expertise is necessary and includes a detailed understanding and experience with the diverse business needs and drivers of the Payer market segment including:

  • Medical Cost Ratio (MCR) improvement through:
  • Provider contract performance
  • Medical management
  • Network management
  • Provider incentive and/or compensation strategies
  • P4P initiative/program enablement

An ideal candidate will also possess a view of the key drivers/metrics in the Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) industry and an understanding of analytics business models.

Performance Analyst

Role Profile
Performance Analyst will be responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day activities associated with delivering MedeAnalytics’ hosted business analytics services to clients through its major business partner relationship. The Performance Analyst will provide support for the successful execution of all MedeAnalytics services, including implementation, enhancements, and ongoing support, as delivered to the client through the business partner. In addition, he/she will help with implementing and administering ongoing audits and reporting packages. He/she will also provide the interface between MedeAnalytics Engineering and Operations and the business partner’s client-facing delivery team. This position will report to the Director of Partner Operations and will be a key role in streamlining operations and sustaining the business partner’s revenue. The candidate must be a highly organized, team player who can translate business objectives into project plans and execute with precision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall operations support and coordination between the specified business partner and MedeAnalytics Engineering and Operations. 
  • Implement ongoing Audit and Reporting procedures.
  • Provide hands on Quality Assurance checks for “Service Requests” to ensure that the business requirements submitted are within scope and clear for Engineering.
  • Provide business analysis support for non-standard requests; assist in design with non-standard technical requests.
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues and risks associated with the delivery of client services.
  • Manage the escalation process for at risk projects and services.
  • Develop methodologies, processes, tools and infrastructure required to implement MedeAnalytics applications successfully and repeatedly.

Working directly with a Client Success Manager on multiple accounts, the PA will provide support for the successful execution of all client services, including implementation, training, enhancements, and ongoing support. This position will be a key role in a rapidly evolving customer based services organization. The candidate must be a highly organized, energetic person who can think strategically, translate business objectives into project plans, and execute with precision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executive & Client Success Manager to support all aspects of the MedeAnalytics solution and services:
    • Manage client data update process to ensure application is properly updated & operational for client usage
    • Understand and monitor the quality and integrity of client’s source system data. Perform analysis and manage enhancements to improve the quality and performance of the data being extracted from source systems. 
    • Utilize technical knowledge and experience to build close relationships with client’s IT resources in order to facilitate the identification and implementation of performance and process improvements in the areas of FTP, ETL, data structure, and business processing.
    • Perform client business analytics of solution data to assist the Account Executive and Client Success Manager in identifying areas of priority value focus and/or opportunity for return on investment.
    • Assist implementation team as required during application enhancements, new product implementations, and/or application upgrades.
    • Assist Client Success Manager as required with enhancement requests, development, testing, and/or final delivery to client.
    • Monitor customer utilization and develop strategies to increase usage and adoption of the application within the account.
    • Continually assess, document, and analyze client gains in efficiency and effectiveness. Constantly educate clients on MedeAnalytics’ value to their business needs.

  • Develop, drive, and project manage all defined processes & steps of client implementations :
  • Develop & define detailed scope documentation & project plan
  • Coordinate required resources to support implementation
  • Coordinate & facilitate project coordination, discussion, and status meetings
  • Manage external/internal project expectations; escalate and mitigate project issues
  • Manage project resources, scope, timeline, & budget per plan

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

  • Design, develop and improve Automated functional/system, performance and load tests using existing Automation tools, frameworks and resources
  • Lead the process of design, build and implementation of additional Automation frameworks, tools and test data sets to improve test coverage and lower testing cost
  • Drive product robustness through designing, developing, and optimizing Automated tests and tools, results reporting and test development processes
  • Specify and lead the implementation of any common Automation libraries, conventions, best practices, etc.
  • Review test plans, product requirement documents, functional specifications, design documents, use cases, and other information sources in order to identify, prioritize, and write, review and update Automation Test Plans necessary to qualify the products.

  • Experience or practical knowledge in high performance data warehouse solutions with massive parallel processing, shared-nothing and columnar architectures
  • Strong and practical experience in database application development using SQL and MDX for Analytics based applications using MS SQL Server 2008 with Analysis Services and Integration Services
  • Experience with Health Care applications preferred
  • Be able to take ownership of large software modules or projects and be responsible for and lead the design, development, and successful deployment
